Actress-dancer Maja Salvador allegedly encouraged Chinita Princess Kim Chiu to join her network transfer to TV5.
Maja and Kim are among the top talents of Star Magic, the talent manager firm of ABS-CBN where they did various TV and movie projects. However, a few months ago, Maja decided to leave her former home network.
The former Queen of the Dancefloor of ASAP Natin ‘To, top-billed the Kapatid network’s musical variety show Sunday Noontime Live with Piolo Pascual and Catriona Gray.
She formally announced this on her Instagram post as she said that she had to join her “tatay-tatayan” in showbiz, Johnny Manahan, popularly known as Mr. M who became the director of SNL.
However, following the controversial statement of Mr. M against Brightlight Productions, the company that produced SNL, and the things he revealed about Star Magic, a writeup from Lolit Solis slammed Maja Salvador’s reason for transferring and accepting the TV5 project.
The veteran entertainment columnist expressed that the talent fee for the new show was the main reason why the actress-dancer transferred.
In a recent article in Pang-Masa, it was said that rumor has it that Maja even encouraged Kim to join the “lipat-bakod.” “Did we hear it right na Maja Salvador actually encouraged daw Kim Chiu to join her (Maja), nang mag-decide itong lumipat sa TV5?” entertainment columnist Baby E wrote.
For the columnist, Kim did a wise decision when she chose to stick with the Kapamilya network. Baby E added that there are speculations that GMA-7 is not “keen” on accepting Maja in its fold.
In a previous report, Wowowin host Willie Revillame denied the rumors saying that Maja Salvador will be his new co-host.
