During the 2016 elections, he run for the position of Vice President with the late Miriam Defensor-Santiago as his running mate. Unfortunately for him, Vice President Leni Robredo was the one who was proclaimed as the winner for the said position.

However, Bongbong Marcos claimed that he was cheated and so he filed an election protest. This has been running for several years and the term of VP Leni is already about to end.

After many years of poll protest, the Supreme Court dismissed the protest with a unanimous decision. The “generic and repetitious allegations” have contributed to the dismissal of the case, a previous report stated.

Following this, on Wednesday, Atty. Vic Rodriguez, the lawyer of Bongbong Marcos revealed the future political plan of the defeated Vice President, based on the article in ABS-CBN.

He will definitely be running for 2022,” the lawyer of the politician said in an interview. However, Rodriguez did not reveal which positions Bongbong Marcos will seek.

To recall, in a presidential preference survey that Pulse Asia released last December, the former Senator was on the second spot with fourteen (14) percent. Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, the daughter of President Rodrigo Duterte, topped the survey with twenty-six (26) percent.

University of the Philippines’s OCTA Research also released a presidential preference survey concentrated on NCR and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno got the number 1 spot while Bongbong tied with Sara for the second spot.
