2 Kidnappers in Pasay Who Kidnapped an Indian National Got Arrested
Authorities have arrested the two (2) kidnappers after hiding for four years as they abducted an Indian National to asked for money.
In a report GMA News “Unang Balita” on Thursday, authorities arrested two kidnappers of Indian national after they escaped and hid for almost four years in Pasay City. The suspects were identified as Arnold Vargas Vergel Miranda Tagupa.
The suspect, Arnold Vargas, was first arrested by the police. After being arrested, Vargas speak out and pointed out his companion’s hiding place.

According to Police Major Ronaldo Lumactod, spokesperson of the Philippine National Police-Anti-Kidnapping Group (PNP-AKG), Vargas pointed out the whereabouts of Tagupa. There, they arrested the on-the-lose kidnappers of Kumar Sohal, an Indian national.
“Itinuro niya ang kinaroroonan nitong si Vergel Miranda Tagupa at na-account na po natin ang mga on-the-loose sa kidnappers na kumidnap dito kay Anial Kumar Sohal noong August 13, 2017,” said Lumactod.
Based on the report, Sohal was abducted on August 13, 2017. Lumactod added that on August 16 there was a paycheck where the Sohal family gave P935,000 at the Southwoods Exit, South Luzon Expressway (SLEX).
Sohal’s three kidnappers were killed in an encounter with SLEX authorities in 2017. The PNP-AKG blocked the payment of ransom for Sohal in Biñan City, Laguna, but Vargas and Tagupa escaped.
