Liza Soberano says sorry
Actress Liza Soberano expressed her apology following her statement against the movie poster of ‘Tililing’.
Liza wrote in her Twitter post on February 8 that the poster of the said film by Darryl Yap is a “no” for her. “Mental health is NOT a joke. Stop the stigma,” she said.
This tweet of the actress received support from many of her followers on Twitter. However, the director of the movie defended the poster. Darryl explained in his Facebook post that people should watch the movie first before judging the movie poster because they will know why it has to be that way.
The post of the filmmaker also received support from many Facebook users and some of them even bashed Liza Soberano. In the comment section, actor Baron Geisler, one of the cast members of the movie, called out to netizens not to bash the actress.
“Please Don’t bash Liza. Please be kind. Sometimes we get overprotective with our advocacies. She did not mean to look down on the poster,” he said.
With this, Liza thanked Baron for defending her against the bashers and she also apologized. “Thank you kuya Baron for the kind words and sorry if I have offended anyone. I’m afraid my intentions were misinterpreted. I always want the best for films that tap into mental health, so I wish this film all the best. Looking forward to seeing it,” the actress wrote in her recent Twitter post.
Many fans Liza Soberano appreciated her humility while there were those who said that they understand what she meant and her intentions.
