Partygoers Stampede in Bolivia Try to Escape Police After Party Being Raid

Party in Quillacollo, Bolivia turned into stampede after partygoers try to escape the police who raid the nightclub holding a party amid lockdown.

In the GMA News Feed video, authorities raided a nightclub in Quillacollo, Bolivia, which found that 150 people were partying despite a lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The barrier can be seen falling into a narrow lane when there are over 70 people who want to escape from the police.

The people in front fell with the iron barrier and were run over by other partygoers who wanted to escape the police. That is why the raid turns into a rescue operation because the police took the initiative to rescue the victims.

The victims fled immediately after being trapped in order to get away from the police who rescued them. According to the report, the club owners allegedly blocked the authorities and locked their establishment while partygoers are fleeing in another lane.

No one was killed or seriously injured in the incident. Aside from some partygoers who were arrested, authorities also arrested the club’s owners and staff.

According to Johns Hopkins University, Bolivia ranks 54th among the countries with the highest number of COVID-19 cases in the world. As of February 3, Bolivia has registered 218,299 positive COVID-19 cases.
