3 Playing “Tong-its” Arrested During Anti-Illegal Gambling Operation in Bulacan
Police arrest three (3) individuals playing “tong-its” during the anti-illegal gambling operation in Malolos City, Bulacan.
In the report sent by Malolos CPS to Bulacan police director P / Col. Lawrence Cajipe, three gamblers were arrested in anti-illegal gambling operations conducted by Malolos City Police Station (CPS) personnel in Malolos City, Bulacan province.
Cajipe identified the arrested suspects as Jayson Teodoro of Purok 1, Brgy. Great; Rhesie Dauba of Brgy. Ligas; and Gina Diaz of Brgy. Bungahan, all in the city of Malolos. According to the report, the Malolos CPS office was notified of the nightly gambling in Brgy. Ligas attended by ‘players’ from various barangays.

Authorities immediately launched an anti-illegal gambling operation until three suspects were caught gambling tong-its. Two sets of playing cards and bet money worth P530 cash from various denominations were recovered from the suspects.
Meanwhile, Quezon City Police arrested 56 suspected illegal gamblers, 28 illegal fishers, one illegal logger, and one illegal firearm holder. The rest are violators of municipal ordinances. Seized from the operations were one undocumented firearm, while 19 assorted guns were voluntarily surrendered.
