TV5 – “Sunday Noontime Live,” “I Got You” and “Sunday Kada” of TV5 aired their final episode yesterday.

Tv shows are typically canceled due to low viewership. It will lead to lower advertising or lower revenue prompting the management to replace it with another program that will turn a larger profit.

Based on a report from Philstar, TV5 shows “I Got You,” “Sunday Kada,” and “Sunday Noontime Live” aired their final episode on Sunday, January 17. The shows were canceled reportedly due to poor ratings.

In a statement released to the media last Saturday, January 16, Brightlight Productions Chief Executive Officer Albee Benitez said that the Sunday variety show “Sunday Noontime Live” had a great three-month run. The show featured Piolo Pascual, Catriona Gray, Maja Salvador, Ricci Rivero, and Jake Ejercito among others.

“Sunday Noontime Live (SNL)’s delightful run is about to end and we await future endeavors from its outstanding stars and phenomenal newcomers…”

“I Got You will re-air its concluding, exciting finale episode in response to numerous requests,” he added.

According to the report, two other shows “Sunday Kada” and “I Got You” – will also wrap their season. Celebrities, staff, and crew of the canceled shows were surprised why the program was suddenly canceled as they already have schedules for their upcoming taping.

Albee Benitez said they will announce its new programs next month. TV5’s daily noontime show “Lunch Out Loud (LOL)” will continue to air Mondays to Friday.

“Lunch Out Loud (LOL) with Billy Crawford, Alex Gonzaga, and the rest to the zany gang along with veteran broadcaster Korina Sanchez-Roxas of Rated Korina and resident heartthrob Ian Veneracion of Oh My Dad! continue to brighten out Mondays to Saturdays.”
