Four People Arrested In Separate Anti-Drug Operations In Different Provinces
ANTI-DRUG OPERATIONS – Four individuals were recently arrested in separate anti-drug operations in different provinces.
According to a report from GMA’s Balitambayan, the arrested included a married couple, a fishball vendor and a barber.
In Cagayan de Oro City, the arrested couple were identified as Agapito at Betsie Gomez, who were the top two regional targets of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA),
Retrieved from the suspects were 11 sachets of illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia. The couple made no further statement .
In Ilagan town in Isabela, a buy-bust operation that was conducted there resulted in the capture of a fishball vendor identified as Dennis Gavin.
Retrieved from Gavin was one pack of suspected drugs. Gavin, in his defense, claimed that the evidence was planted.
The police said that that they were eyeing on the suspect, adding that they made a test buy before they fully conducted the sting operation.
Based on the report, a barber was arrested in a buy-bust operation in the municipality of Albuera, Leyte province.
The suspect was identified as Francisco Polo, who was arrested in his barber shop.
Retrieved from the suspect were three packs of suspected illegal drug. Polo, however, denied the claim and added that the evidence was planted as well.
The police, however, said that they also eyed the suspect before conducting the sting operation.
