Danao City DRMMO Monitors Water Level in Rivers After PASASA Issues Orange Rainfall Warning
Danao City DRMMO is now monitoring the water level in the rivers after PAGASA releases orange rainfall warning.
On Monday morning (January 11, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration has issued an orange rainfall warning, which may cause flooding in low-lying areas and possible landslides.
Danao City CDRRMO is currently, monitoring the water level in flood prone areas as they expect a heavy rainfall later today. The team has also warned the residents over low-lying areas and mountainous areas of northern Cebu to take precautionary measures for possible flooding and landslides.
CDRRMO has also shared the photos of the current condition of river in Danao City. The tail-end of a frontal system is expected to bring inclement weather conditions in the area.
“This information is based on current radar trends and all available meteorological data,” Pagasa said.

The state weather bureau warned the Cebu residents and the disaster personnel to monitor the weather updates and wait for further weather updates.
