Retired Fireman Arrested for Violating Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards

RETIRED FIREMAN- Former fire fighter with standing warrant of arrest for violating Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards arrested.

A retired firefighter with a standing warrant of arrest was arrested in Bulacan province on Thursday. Malolos City Police operatives arrested 58-year-old Fire Sr. Insp. Jaime Dionisio Robles, a former member of the Bureau of Fire Protection with a standing warrant of arrest.

Robles was arrested for violating Section 8 in accordance with Section 11 of RA 6713 or Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees. Police Regional Office 3 was saddened by the arrest.

“We are saddened with the fact that we are apprehending a colleague but we are committed to enforcing the law without fear or favor and all found to be violating the law would be punishable,” said Police Brig. Gen. Valeriano De Leon, regional director of PRO-3.

Meanwhile, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) employees were banned from posting TikTok videos on social media. Immigration employees are banned from posting videos on TikTok while wearing their uniforms.  The bureau would strictly implement the new policy.

The BI’s Internal Social Media Policy states that “BI personnel must adhere with the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees with respect to their actions online, and to desist from behaviors that would bring disrepute to public service”.
