11 names were tagged by the authorities as suspects and these people were also with her before she died. She celebrated with them the new year where she is the only female in the group. The tagged suspects John Pascual dela Serna III, Rommel Galido y Daluro, John Paul Halili y Reyes, Gregorio Angelo Rafael De Guzman, Clark Rapinan, Valentine Rosales, and Mark Anthony Rosales, on the other hand, maintain their innocence.

Three of the 11 who got detained were now released due to lack of evidence over provisional cases charged against them. With this, Department of Justice (DOJ) Prosecutor General Benedicto Malcontento clarified during an interview that the case of the attendant is not dismissed yet.

“As our deciding authority, we have our own procedures to follow. And our decision is, at this point in time, the pieces of evidence are not enough for us to arrive at a decision whether the case will be filed or not,” he explained regarding their procedure. He added that the case is not dismissed but just converting it to a regular preliminary investigation.

And at this point, assessing the affidavits and the evidence, the DOJ prosecutor general said that it is not yet enough and that the findings from the medic legal is premature. And for the allegations of PNP against the tagged suspects, there must accordingly be scientific basis and medical basis.

He said during his interview with The Source of Pinky Webb in CNN Philippines, “As of now, it does not exist. Wala pa. Wala pang medical finding which explains why our decision is for full-blown criminal investigation.”
