PALAWAN TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS – Amid the pandemic Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), here’s are the requirements to travel to Palawan.

Restricted travel has been implemented during the height of the pandemic Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). Famous tourist spots and destinations temporarily closed down but for the past couple of months, they finally got the permission to re-open their doors again.

Some beaches and resorts opened again and this is one way for them to recover after months of being close. In a new normal set up, health and safety protocols are still strictly implemented.

Palawan Travel Requirements

And now, in order to step foot in the hailed as “Best Island in the World” by Travel + Leisure, here are some things to note and follow:

  • El NidoCoron, and San Vicente in Palawan just started accepting guests coming from Metro Manila and other provinces.
  • Guests must present a negative result of the RT-PCR test within 24 hours for San Vicente and 48 to 72 hours for El Nido and Coron before their arrival there.
  • Tourists must book at hotels and hostels accredited by the Department of Tourism (DOT).
  • People on their way to El Nido must secure first a QR-coded tourist ID from guest.elnidotourism.ph and a pre-arranged tour with a tour operator accredited by DOT.
  • People on their way to Coron are required to have roundtrip tickets and pre-booked tour with a DOT-accredited tour agencies. Also, they must fill-up the health declaration form on corontourism.ph online.
  • To San Vicente, tourists must also have a negative test result and on their official website are other guidelines to travel to their town.
