Claudine Barretto clarified her cryptic post
Optimum Star Claudine Barretto has expressed her clarification regarding her cryptic post that caught the attention of many netizens.
The posts of Claudine last December 12 became intriguing to many netizens. She shared an art card saying: “I would rather be known in life as an honest sinner, than a lying hypocrite.” Her caption was simple all-caps “HYPOCRITE”.
Then, it was followed by “Some people aren’t really all that they “post” to be.” The caption of the actress in this was, “PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH.”
Based on the article by columnist Jun Lalin in Abante Entertainment, speculations surfaced that Claudine Barretto might be talking about her older sister Gretchen Barretto.
This speculation was formulated from the fact that the celebrity siblings haven’t seen each other for a long time. However, just recently, shared photos with her Ate Gretchen when they had the chance to meet again since the lockdown was implemented.
Claudine expressed how happy she is to be reunited with her sister after nine months. Lalin said to the Optimum Star in a recent conversation they had that it is a good thing that it was clarified that the cryptic posts were not for Gretchen.
The actress said that she intended her intriguing post to a non-showbiz person. She also hoped that that person would get what she was trying to say.
Then, Claudine Barretto stressed that she and Gretchen Barretto agreed not to fight with each other anymore. “With my Ate, hindi na kami mag-aaway. May usapan na kami,” the Optimum Star said as she also said that she loves her Ate so much.
