PFIZER – Amid the production issues surrounding the COVID-19 vaccine, the producer released a statement to make clarification.

The COVID-19 pandemic is the biggest challenge that affected over 200 countries and territories across the globe. Across these nations and territories, over 75 million cases of the disease were recorded.

More than 1.6 million people died of COVID-19 while 52 million have reportedly recovered from the disease. The whole 2020 is undeniably focused on dealing with the pandemic.

The COVID-19 pandemic brought a lot of changes to the world. Nowadays, people wear face masks when going out and many individuals only go out for essential purposes.

In the Philippines which is one of the countries that is still dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic now, the wearing of face mask and the practice of social distancing are already protocols.

Even the classes in PH were not able to start in June which is the usual start of the school year. Instead of face-to-face classes, online classes and modules were the ways to deliver lessons to the students.

Amid all the challenges, the world is seeing a ray of light now following the development of some COVID-19 vaccines. Pfizer is one of them and it has already gained approval in some nations.

However, recently, there are issues that Pfizer is facing production problems. To clarify their side, the producer of the COVID-19 vaccine released a statement.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Pfizer Inc clarified that it is not facing any issues with the COVID-19 vaccine production. Also, it stressed its confidence to deliver 50 million doses around the world this year.

According to the producer, “no shipments containing the vaccine are on hold or delayed” and they have already shipped 2.9 million doses order of the United States government.

U.S. has signed a 100 million doses deal with the company. Globally, the producer targets to release up to 1.3 billion doses next year.
