Jane de Leon ‘Darna’ is Set to Be Aired in the Year 2021
Filipino superhero series ‘Darna’ lead by Jane de Leon is still flying on 2021 after ABS-CBN network confirmed that it would aired next year.
It has been confirmed that ABS-CBN will continue the suspended filming of “Darna” several times. This because of various reasons that are also not controlled by production.
However, the iconic Pinay superhero will not be aired in the movie but on television first because it is said to be easier to do on TV than on the big screen. It will still be starring Jane de Leon who has already started training before implementing the lockdown in the country caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
And since Jane’s “Darna” project will be ‘teleserye’, they are now revising its script to make it more suitable for television. The director of the superhero teleserye is not identified and revealed to the public.
According to ABS-CBN News, the contractor of the new movie version of “Darna” Jerrold Tarog will only contract with the film. Director Jerrold can also pursue this case if he is not busy throughout 2021 because he will make a movie at TBA Studios, “Quezon” starring Benjamin Alves.
Meanwhile, people asked if the teleserye will include the scenes captured by director Jerrold in the “Darna” movie. It was reported that the shooting of “Darna” took 15 days before its production stopped due to the pandemic.
Big scenes are mostly needed in the “Darna” movie and it is not possible if the shooting continues because the health protocols are very strict. As far as we know only 50 people are allowed on the set.
