Understanding the feeling of someone who experienced a strong typhoon, the Ilongga beauty queen did a fundraising campaign on her 24th birthday for the victims of typhoon Rolly and Ulysses.

She also stressed in an interview that the overused “Filipino Resiliency” phrase should be stopped. For the beauty queen, what the Filipino people really need are tangible and visible solutions to the problems.

To recall, even actress-singer Nadine Lustre also slammed the idea of glorifying resiliency amid this kind of calamity. She believes that expressing this kind of belief amid the crisis should end.
