Angel Locsin Refuse to Revoke Teacher’s License After Module’s Insult
Kapamilya actress-host Angel Locsin refuse to file a case against the teacher who made a body-shaming remarks in a students’ self-learning module.
The “Real-life Darna” Angel Locsin said that she won’t file a case and does not want to deprive or revoke the license of the teacher who insulted his appearance by using it in the students’ self-learning module.
A few days ago, a photo of the module from DepEd Occidental Mindoro drew flak on all social media platforms. The worksheet apparently called actress-philanthropist Angel Locsin an “obese.”
A situation in the DepEd module states that Angel Locsin is ‘obese’ along with Coco Martin, who eats fatty and sweet foods at a fast-food restaurant and not doing physical activities in their home.
The module asks students what can happen to her if she continues her lifestyle. With this, her fans, supporters, and fellow celebrities defended her over this embarrassing module.
After the module went viral, DepEd apologized in a statement released on Friday night, November 13, for a Facebook post showing part of a module that insulted Angel Locsin by calling her ‘obese.’ The official statement of DepEd was signed by the supervisor of the School Division of Occidental Mindoro, Roger F. Capa.
Roger F. Capa also appealed to the public to stop the teacher attack. The module was prepared by a teacher named Keith Richard Firme.
Meanwhile, Angel’s fans suggest that because the teacher did something unethical, that is a good reason to have his license revoked. But the “Iba Yan” host said “Hindi namana kailangan umabot sa ganun.”
This is clear proof that Angel will not file a case against the teacher, and she is already satisfied with DepEd’s move for the teacher. However, the teacher earned various criticisms from the actress’s supporters.
