A MAPEH module from DepEd Occidental Mindoro has circulated online and the actress-philanthropist was being called out to immediately to do something about the matter. The offensive remark, as per netizens, has stated in the module:

“Angel Locsin is an obese person. She, together with Coco Martin, eats fatty and sweet food in Mang Inasal fast food restaurant most of the time. In her house, she always watching television and does not have any physical activities.”

With this, the DepEd apologized and issued a statement on Friday evening November 13 signed by the superintendent of the School Division of Occidental Mindoro, Roger F. Capa. It stated they never “tolerate nor condone any act of body shaming, ad hominem or any similar act of bullying both in the physical and virtual environments.”

After reading the statement of DepEd, the actress expressed in a post that she was about to ignore the matter. However, it bothered her that apart from teaching wrong grammar to students, it seems like they neglected the part where “the said teacher is teaching bad conduct and sowing discrimination among the children”.

She even added how lucky she is to have been taught by teachers who value good manners and right conduct. And this type of teacher is something that students deserve.
