Kris Aquino reacted to this recent post of Angel Locsin
Queen of Talk Kris Aquino shared her reaction to the comment of Angel Locsin regarding the Department of Education’s apology over the module tagging her “obese”.
The online community slammed a module stating that the Iba ‘Yan host is obese. This reached the attention of DepEd and the government agency issued an apology.
However, what was written in the official statement of the education department regarding this issue did not sit well with Angel. The actress said, “DepEd seems unaffected that the said teacher is teaching bad conduct and sowing discrimination among the children.”
She pointed out that this will be detrimental to the behavior of the students as they grow up. Several netizens agreed with Angel and even her fellow celebrity showed support for her.
Kris Aquino wrote a comment on the said post of Angel Locsin. The Queen of Talk said that although she understands that struggles of teacher, she pointed out that DepEd’s budget comes from the taxpayers.
“Galing sa mga Pilipino, mga nagtatrabaho at nagbabayad ng buwis ang nagbibigay pondo para sa DepEd, in other words- lahat tayo stakeholders dito,” she said.
Kris also stressed that this is the reason why it inappropriate that someone who has been helping the community will be attacked. The actress-host also said that she knows teachers also have the right to speak but it should not be used to humiliate others.
“In this instance- the person in authority (the teacher) is playing a significant role in shaping the values and character of his/her students,” Kris added.
Kris Aquino also said that she is admiring the steadfastness and the courage of Angel Locsin.
