Comedian Vice Ganda shares typhoon experience while on vacation in Balesin.
VICE GANDA – Kapamilya comedian and host Vice Ganda shares horrific experience when Typhoon Ulysses ruined the villas where they’re staying.
A supposed to be relaxing vacation turned a tragedy for Kapamilya artists Vice Ganda, Ion Perez, Jhong Hilario, and among others they are with. They went to Balesin for some break but it happened just in time that Typhoon Ulysses made a landfall.
Balesin is situated in Polilio Island in Quezon province and it made a landfall in the area thrice. It came with a heavy rain and destructive winds that ruined the villas of the high end resort. But greatly affected are the residents of several parts of Luzon which triggered worst floods which is seemingly worse than Typhoon Ondoy.
In her post, Vice described the calamity as a “delubyo”. She wrote on Twitter, “Needed to evacuate our villa dahil nawasak na ung mga villas at bumagsak ang mga puno sa paligid namin. Ung pinaglipatan nman namin nawalan ng kuryente & water supply so lumikas kmi ulit. Mejo kalamado na ngayon. Salamat sa Diyos!”
Accordingly, they needed to evacuate their villas because the strong winds has ruined it and the falling trees around them are dangerous. At the time of her post, she shared that the situation in there is a bit calm already which they are all thankful about.
Due to the unfortunate events brought by the strong typhoon, it will be uncertain if their group can return as to what they have scheduled.
Meanwhile, as per previous article, Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has already conducted an aerial inspection of areas which the typhoon has impacted in great lengths. He assured that the government will immediately deploy rescuers to help stranded people and to give out relief goods and financial aid.
