PAGASA: Typhoon Rolly Moves Closer to Bicol, Signal No. 2 Up in 4 Provinces

PAGASA Releases Latest Update About Typhoon Rolly

LATEST WEATHER UPDATE – The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that Typhoon Rolly moves closer towards Bicol region and Signal No.2 was raised in four provinces.

On Saturday (October 31, 2020), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical an Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather updates in the country. Typhoon Rolly would severely affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that Typhoon Rolly was last spotted at 655 kilometers east northeast of Virac, Catanduanes and moving closer to the Bicol region. Rolly has maximum sustained winds of 215 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 265 kph.

The weather bureau also said that the weather disturbance may intensify into a super typhoon with the next 12 hours. The typhoon would bring an inclement weather condition over some parts of the country.

Rolly is expected to bring light to moderate with occasional heavy rains over Central Visayas, Negros Occidental, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Palawan including Cuyo Islands, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and Sulu Archipelago.

Heavy to intense rains are expected over CALABARZON, Metro Manila, Central Luzon Marinduque, and the northern portions of Occidental and Oriental Mindoro by Saturday evening.

TCWS No.3 may be raised over several parts of Bicol region later today, according to the weather bureau.

Meanwhile, PAGASA is monitoring Tropical Depression Atsani with maximum sustained winds of 55 kph and gustiness of 70 kph moving west-northwestward. Atsani is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Sunday afternoon (November 1, 2020).
