ABS-CBN actress Kim Chiu shares she feels like she doesn’t deserve to have a Christmas tree this year for the Holiday season.
A Christmas tree carries deep symbolic, cultural, and emotional meaning that brings people together during the Holiday season. It symbolizes life, hope, and renewal, and plays a central role in family traditions.
Every year, in the Philippines, Christmas trees of celebrities have been something the people are always looking forward to seeing. They are known for their unique themes and grand designs, and among those with a giant tree uniquely decorated is Kim Chiu.
She is known for her great taste and usually takes charge of decorating, but this year was different. She admitted that she initially felt she did not deserve to put up a Christmas tree and planned to skip it altogether. However, due to work commitments, she eventually had to set one up.
In her latest vlog, which also marked her final upload for 2025, she opened up about how difficult the year had been for her. Unlike in previous years, she did not create her usual Christmas tree vlog, reflecting the challenges she faced throughout the year.
“Speaking of Christmas tree, wala ako ngayong Christmas tree vlog. Dahil ang totoo niyan, ayaw ko gumawa ng Christmas tree this year dahil hindi ko feel at parang hindi ko deserve ang Christmas tree. Pero dahil sa branded contents na kailangan kong i-fulfill nakagawa ako ng Christmas tree in two hours,” Chiu said.
In haste, she did her tree using the decorations she used from last year. She reused her inverted Christmas tree with an all-white theme. It has doves and feathers because she wants peace, calmness, and a clean slate as she enters the new year.
She added, “Kunwari lang tayong nagsisiya-siyahan. But thank you so much for all the good things na nangyari ngayong taon na ito.”
