College Student Orders Laptop Worth P24k But Receives Stones
A college student from Guimaras has ordered a laptop worth P24, 000 for his online class but received 3 pieces of stones.
A third-year BS Hospitality Management student identified as Arthur Baylon bursts into tears after receiving three pieces of stones from the laptop he ordered. The student plans to use to laptop worth P24,000 for his online class.
Baylon expressed his disappointment due to the incident. The student worked and assisted his fisherman father for a couple of months during the lockdown period to earn money so he could buy the gadget.
“No’ng nagsimula ang lockdown, ako na ang sumasama sa aking tatay sa pangingisda so ‘yung nakikita namin, tinitipon ko ‘yun lahat kasi pangarap ko talaga na magka-laptop para sakaling mag-online class, madali rin sa’kin makapuna ng aking mga gagawin sa school,” Baylon said.
The young man said that he really needs a laptop because his mobile phone could not perform multiple tasks at the same time. He was disappointed after receiving stones instead of laptop from his hard-earned cash.
However, the online seller explained that they send a real laptop and not stones. It was still unclear where the corruption happened. Luckily, Arthur eventually received a refund.

E-commerce expert Abbie Victorio also advised the public to check the buying guidelines and check if the shop is a legitimate business to avoid falling into fraud sellers.
