LUCIA TAN BIOGPRAPHY – Business tycoon Lucio Tan wife, Lucia “Letty” Gonzales Tan, passes away and here’s some details about her.
Among the wealthiest personalities in the country and in the world is Lucio Tan. He is into banking, airline, liquor, tobacco, real estate industries, and education and was listed as the second richest billionaire from the Philippines with a net worth of $7.5 billion in 2013 by Forbes.
And his wife, Lucia Tan, seems like really someone who is fated for him with their names matching – Lucio and Lucia. She is called by her friends “Letty” or to some, she is “Auntie Letty”. People would describe her as someone who has a good heart, very nice, and a sincere woman.
Nothing much about her life was posted but reported recently is her passing at the age of 77 due to a lingering illness. She passed away on August 31. Their children are LT Group president Michael Gonzales Tan and Cherry Tan Ty, wife of Alfred Ty who is the son of the late billionaire George Ty.
As much as we are all aware of, the 86-year-old tycoon is still grieving over the sudden death of Lucio “Bong” Tan Jr., his son with Carmen Tan who died last November 2019. And another great loss for him is the death of Letty.
Her children stated, “Our Mom will always be remembered for her kindness and big heart. We will all miss her. May the Lord God bless her soul as she joins Him in heaven.”
Letty’s wake will be at Chapel 3 of Heritage Park Memorial Chapel in Taguig City from September 2 to 7, 2020, 10 A.M. to 6 P.M. and the interment will be on September 8, 11 A.M. at Chapel 3, Heritage Park.
