Ogie Diaz, MJ Felipe’s DZMM Program “OMJ” “Will No Longer Continue” To Air
OGIE DIAZ – Entertainment journalist MJ Felipe said he received a call on Wednesday informing him that his showbiz talkshow “OMJ” with Ogie Diaz will no longer continue.
In July, the House of the Representative denied ABS-CBN’s franchise application. The media company decided to lay off some 11,000 workers starting August 31.
The executives of the tv network did not state how many of its workers will be affected but they will give their reparation pay, retirement benefits, and provide job placement programs.
Among the first workers laid off by ABS-CBN are Korina Sanchez and Ces Drilon. Czarina Marie Balba a.k.a. DJ Chacha also revealed that MOR 101.9 will also cease operations on Aug. 31.
On Tuesday, August 25, newscaster Bernadette Sembrano announced her retrenchment as a field reporter. After getting a call from her superior, she reflected on her situation and how she remains optimistic.

The DZMM showbiz talk show OMJ co-hosted by MJ Felipe and Ogie Diaz is the latest Kapamilya program to bid farewell amid crisis. Felipe bade goodbye to the radio show he worked with for almost 7 years. In his Instagram post, he posted several throwback photos of himself with Diaz.
“Next month, would have been my 7th year in DZMM, hosting the weekly entertainment radio program ‘OMJ’ with @ogie_diaz. Today, I received a call informing me that our show will no longer continue.”
“RADIO has a different kind of discipline. A discipline that I embraced for six years. Since 2006, tandem na kami ni Kuya Ogie even sa DZXL days namin. Kabisado na namin ang timing at punchline ng isa’t isa. Learned a lot. Grateful and thankful to DZMM management for the TRUST. It could have been given to someone else, but they gave that hosting slot to me. Salamat Mam Marah, Nino, Shiela Tubalinal, Au Zialcita, Charlie Nabartéy, Jerson Cruz, TJ Correa (6years, 6 Executive Producers) and to our staff Melvs, Ab, Louise, Joanne, Titus, lahat.”
“At sa lahat ng aming masugid na tagapakinig. Salamat. Hanggang sa muli, tayo ay magkakarinigan ulit in God’s good time. Radio is heart,” he added.
Ogie Diaz and MJ Felipe’s showbiz talkshow last aired a live episode on DZMM in March. In the meantime, the two have been on a Facebook live version of the program.
