DJ Chacha Announces MOR 101.9 Will Halt Its Operations
DJ CHACHA – Radio star DJ Chacha announced the closure of ABS-CBN’s FM station MOR 101.9’s operation.
Network giant ABS-CBN recently shut down after the majority of the lawmakers voted for its franchise application to be junked. Several politicians, famous personalities and celebrities are worried about the workers who lost their jobs amid the pandemic.
On Wednesday, July 15, ABS-CBN executives hold a town hall meeting. The employees of the company and the executives were there to discuss matters after the House panel denied its franchise.
Following the town hall meeting, the management announced that they are laying off workers starting August 31, 2020. The media company said they are doing everything to lighten the pain of the worker who will be affected by the retrenchment.
The company said they will give the separation pay and the retirement benefits. They will also offer programs that will help their former employees find new work.

On Thursday, July 16, radio star, popularly known as DJ Chacha of MOR 101.9, took to her Instagram account to announce the closure of Kapamilya network’s FM station’s operation. She penned an emotional post on her IG account to air her grief.
The DJ said she could not believe that she saying her farewell to her first love and her dream job. She has been part of the FM station since 2008.
“One of the lowest points of my life. I still can’t believe I have to say goodbye to my first love. My forever love. My dream job. 12 years. This is not just work for me. This not just about money. I LOVE THIS STATION SO MUCH. Really really really brokenhearted right now,” she wrote.
