Pinoy Nurse Heading to Work Using Bicycle Dies in Hit-and-Run Incident
A Pinoy nurse identified as Renz Jayson Perez died due to a hit-and-run incident while heading to his work using a mountain bike.
On Sunday (August 23, 2020), Renz Jayson Perez of Barangay 14, Tondo, Manila died in Ermita, Manila passed away after being hit by a pick-up truck. The truck sped off towards Delpan Bridge after the incident, according to a witness.
The witness who was riding his motorcycle along Padre Burgos Avenue in Manila narrated that the health worker is using his newly-purchased mountain bike going to work when a pick-up truck hits him at the corner of Maria Orosa Street around 7:00 pm.
The personnel of the Philippine Red Cross rushed the 23-year-old nurse to the Philippine General Hospital (PGH). Unfortunately, the hospital personnel pronounced him dead-on-arrival around 8:40 pm.
The victim’s family and the authorities are now requesting other witnesses to speak and help the cops to investigate the incident.
