COVID-19 Frontliner Dies After Denied by Hospitals
A COVID-19 frontliner passes away after numerous hospitals in Negros Occidental reportedly refused to accept him.
The Facebook page “DYHB Tatak RMN Page” reported that a frontliner identified as Jesryl Bancaya died after the hospitals from Bacolod City up to Cadiz City allegedly refused to accept him for immediate treatment.
The 33-year-old victim sacrificed his own comfort and happiness for being in-charge of conducting orientations for returning Overseas Filipino Workers in Bacolod City. He is also a technical staff of Councilor Israel Salangga.
Bancaya reportedly suffered from flu after visiting the funeral of SK Federation President Ayasha Joy Villaflor’s father last August 11. The latter endured his illness for a couple of days until the sickness placed him in a critical condition.
Bacolod City Vice-Mayor Elcid Familiaran said that the frontliner died inside the ambulance due to cardiac arrest after denied by numerous hospitals. Familiaran also revealed that Bancaya also tested positive for the coronavirus disease.
