Suggestions of Vice Pres. Robredo on Improving Fight Against COVID-19
ROBREDO – Vice President Leni Robredo spoke her suggestions on the response of the Philippines to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Every day, there are still new cases of COVID-19 recorded in the different parts of the Philippines. The country is one of the over 200 nations and territories battling against the pandemic.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared this coronavirus disease as a pandemic after it spread fast and its impact is far beyond what was expected of it. Even the international body was alarmed by how fast the infection spread.
In the Philippines, there is now a total of 85,486 cases of the disease recorded. Out of the said number, 1,962 patients died fighting against the disease while 26,996 have recovered.

The fight against the COVID-19 pandemic continues. Vice President Leni Robredo has some suggestions on improving the response of the Philippines to the pandemic.
Based on a report of ANC Headstart on ABS-CBN News, the Vice President suggested strengthening the healthcare system by strengthening the hospitals. According to her, it must be secured that the provision of resources to hospitals is equitable and systematic.
Vice Pres. Robredo said that strengthening the hospitals is one way to ensure that the medical facilities can cope with the demands of the COVID-19 pandemic. Based on the report, the Vice President also suggested counseling for healthcare workers.
The Vice President also noted that laboratories with backlogs of COVID-19 tests must be assisted so they can cope up. According to her, it is one way to also trace the people that COVID-19 patients had contact with “on time”.
