According to an article from Philstar, Hua said:

We hope ‘sanction’ is not going to be the biggest and shiniest label that the US wants itself to be remembered by. It should earnestly reflect on its policies

Furthermore, China emphasized that they are not afraid of the United States. In fact, they likened the US as a harsh wind blowing on a tree enjoying peace and tranquility.

Additionally, Hua said that dispatching large US military ships and aircrafts in the SCS was just flexing. Along with this, they call the US “hypocrites and bullies”.

The US refuses to ratify the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).

Cannot stop itself from withdrawing from one international treaty and organization after another.

Only chooses to comply with international law when the occasion serves its own interests.

It has fully revealed its true nature as a hypocrite and bully

Lastly, Hua urged the United States to “behave” like a major country and to help create regional peace and stability.
