Soldier Shot, Stabbed, & Burned By Suspected NPA Member
FILIPINO SOLDIER BRUTALITY KILLED – A soldier was stabbed, shot, and burned by suspected members of the New People’s Army (NPA).
According to a report from ABS-CBN, the gruesome death of the soldier transpired on early Monday Morning in Samar. Based on initial information from 8th Infantry Division Philippine Army Captain Reynaldo Aragones, the unnamed soldier was not only shot, but he was also stabbed and burned.
Ever since, the tensions between the NPA and the Philippine Army had escalated to violent lengths. Sadly, this incident was no different from the rest.
Based on accounts, the events of the shooting transpired at around 7:00 AM. The soldier was said to be on a motorcycle with his posse in Barangay Canvais.
As per the report, the soldier was supposed to be on his way to the city municipal to conduct a community support program. However, on their way, accounts recalled that there were around 30 rebels.
