Based on the article by PhilStar’s Pang-Masa columnist Nitz Miralles, some people have been comparing the reaction of the Popstar Royalty and Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez‘s to the franchise issue.
Regine became part of ABS-CBN just two years ago but her support for her home network is very evident. The Songbird has been posting messages of support for the media company despite being bashed. She would just turn off the comment option as to avoid mean comments.
Meanwhile, according to Miralles, there were comments saying that Sarah has long been part of the Kapamilya but she is not vocal about her support amid the franchise issue.
Although she is under the management of Viva Artists Agency, she has been working in ABS-CBN for several years, the columnist added. Miralles also said that fans accept that Sarah is never that indulgent in sharing her thoughts regarding certain issues but some people hope that even just a little she would show support for the TV giant.
On the other hand, the fact that some Kapamilya stars are also silent over this issue is being raised to defend the silence of the singer. Another fact that was brought up is Sarah Geronimo’s marriage to Matteo Guidicelli. It is common knowledge that the latter supports the administration.
