Here’s what Lea Salonga has said about Regine Velasquez.
LEA SALONGA – Broadway singer Lea Salonga admits something after singing with Regine Velasquez and here’s what she said.
Truly, one of the undeniably best singers of all time is Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez and she won’t absolutely be called by such name for nothing. She famed many OPM songs and she is best known for hitting notes which are seemingly at the highest of a bar.
And just recently, our Songbird turned 50 years old, but she looks way much younger than her age, and a close friend of her, Lea Salonga, Broadway Diva, admitted and expressed something about Regine. This is after she granted her to sing with her.
They have a duet singing 3 songs during an online concert last April 25 such as “I Don’t Know How To Love Him,” “What I Did For Love,” and “Someone Like You.” And Lea, after doing it, said, “Ahmm, singing with you was hard, but because it was your birthday, and because you asked, as in ikaw mismo yung nag-request that I sing this with you, I couldn’t say ‘no.’ It’s your birthday request. So… haaahh! My God! It’s hard to sing with you –“
But she added that singing with her is difficult only in the “best way possible” and she wished for her career to last longer. In her birthday greeting for her, Lea indicated that she still sounds the same like before. She admired her song interpretations, her vocal quality, and everything about her.
Moreover, according to PEP, “I love you, and the next time you and I sing together again, it should be in person, with full-on glam, and full-on gowns… in a much bigger venue than this. Talking concert hall, stadium, an arena. Something. And it will be fun.”
