This is what Kim Chiu said about the TV Plus shutdown
Chinita Princess Kim Chiu said that she chose not to react to the TV Plus shutdown because of this particular reason.
Kim is one of the Kapamilya stars who are very vocal in supporting ABS-CBN amid its fight for the franchise renewal. However, in her viral video, as she was trying to defend her home network after the release of the cease and desist order from the National Telecommunications Commission, she got bashed.
The actress received mean comments from the online community but was able to bounce back from that. This is the same reason why she has apprehension to voice out her thoughts when the NTC order was released against TV Plus as well as the SKY Direct.
In one of her recent posts on her Instagram Story, Kim Chiu shared the official statement from ABS-CBN regarding the CDO from NTC that was released on June 30.
The Kapamilya star said that she wanted to say something however, she is not as brave as before in sharing her thoughts. “Gusto mo magsalita pero di mo magawa, May takot, kaba, trauma….” she said.
After the massive amount of bashing that she received, the actress admitted that she was really affected. She had to take a break in order to regain her emotional strength and when she came back, she introduced her Bawal Lumabas song which was derived from her viral statement.
Kim even had the chance to sing this song on Wish Bus which she said was one of her aspirations and that became an emotional moment for her. Things after that went well for Kim, she launched her merchandise from that and continued her charitable works.
It was even reported that her teleserye Love Thy Woman will resume the taping in a lock-in setup amid the pandemic.
On the other hand, as the TV Plus and Sky Direct was recently ordered to shut down also, Kim Chiu once again was saddened for her home network.
“Nakakalungkot na pinagdadaan ng lahat ng kapamilya ito. Ayaw ko man isipin pero parang personalan na… wala akong tinutukoy, eto lamang ay nasa isip ko lang…. grabe lang. Grabe,” she said.
