Port Requires Stranded Passengers To Undergo Swab Test First & Slept Along Sidewalk

Several stranded passengers sleep along the sidewalk after the port required them to undergo a swab test first.

The Philippine government is currently implementing stricter rules and regulations to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus disease. The authorities are also strictly monitoring ports and terminals.

The port management is imposing stricter policies when it comes to monitoring the health status of their passengers.

A Twitter user named Jekki Pascual has shared the photos and the video of some passengers sleeping along the sidewalk after the port allegedly denied their entry. The post is currently circulating online.

In the photos, it can be seen that the locally stranded passengers were sleeping and resting outside the gate of the North Port. The management reportedly denied their entry and required them to undergo a swab test before traveling back home.

The video also shows the pitiful situation of the passengers outside the port. The numbers of passengers continue to increase. The passengers reiterated that they possessed the other requirement such as travel authority and barangay health clearance.
