Transgenders Shouldn’t Join ‘Traditional’ Pageants, Miss International Queen 2012 Kevin Balot Says

Miss International Queen 2012 Kevin Balot goes viral after stating that transgender shouldn’t join ‘traditional’ beauty pageants.

The transgender beauty queen Kevin Balot is also known as an advocate of LGBTQIA rights trends on Twitter because of her controversial statement. She stated that traditional beauty pageants must be exclusive for natural women only.

Balot said that LGBT members usually ask for equality but transgenders insisting their rights to join Miss Universe is not equality anymore. She also described it as “too much” and explained that transgenders like her could still join other pageants.

“We transwomen always ask for equality… And I believe us transgender women joining sa mga Miss Universe is not equality anymore eh. Hindi lang ako sang-ayon sa mga ganoong bagay kasi we have our own pageant. We have the Miss International Queen pageant which is the most prestigious transgender beauty pageant,” Balot said.
