Cebu City Records Highest COVID-19 Cases in Philippines

Update on Cebu City Coronavirus / COVID-19 Cases Now

CEBU CITY – The city currently has the highest coronavirus or COVID-19 cases in the Philippines amid the global pandemic.

The Philippines is on a fight against the spread of COVID-19 now. This disease has already claimed over 400,000 lives across the globe. More than seven (7) million people were infected by the disease and around 3.8 million have recovered.

In PH, there is now a total of 24,175 cases of coronavirus recorded. According to the Department of Health (DOH), 5,165 patients have recovered while 1,036 died fighting against the disease.

Community quarantine measures are implemented in the whole country now. The high-risk areas are under a General Community Quarantine (GCQ) while Modified GCQ is implemented on low and medium risk areas.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the city with the highest cases of COVID-19 now is Cebu City. A total of 2,549 coronavirus cases were recorded in the city.

Cebu is followed by Quezon in terms of the total coronavirus cases. Based on the report, QC has recorded a total of 2,519 cases of the disease and it is followed by Manila with 1,611 cases.

Here is a list of the ten (10) cities with the highest number of COVID-19 cases in the Philippines amid the pandemic:

  • Quezon City – 2,519
  • Maynila – 1,611
  • Makati City – 753
  • Paranaque City – 692
  • Caloocan City – 676
  • Mandaluyong City – 651
  • Pasig City – 601
  • Taguig – 531
  • Pasay – 445

Everyone is advised to stay at home if not for very essential purposes. Social distancing must also be observed at all times. Currently, public vehicles are on a reduced capacity to practice social distancing inside the vehicle.
