Lalamove Rider Arrested Over Suspected Coronavirus But Turns Negative on COVID-19 Test Results
A man identified as Irvin Sales has been nabbed after suspected positive for coronavirus turns negative on COVID-19 test results.
On Monday (June 8, 2020), Irvin Sales who is working as a Lalamove rider has been arrested by the officials of Barangay 538 in Sampaloc district because he was suspected positive for the coronavirus disease.
Four barangay officials immediately nailed and closed the door of Irvin’s home to ensure that he and his family could not get out of his house, according to the complaint of a resident in the area.
The 38-year-old delivery service provider undergone a swab test at the hospital. Luckily, the rider turns negative to the coronavirus test results. He also advised the authorities not judge too quickly especially during this time of pandemic.
“Ma-realize po nila na dapat hindi basta-basta manghuhusga ng tao dahil ang pagkakaroon ng COVID-19 ay hindi naman ginugusto ito. Kumbaga, biktima eh. Hindi dapat hinuhusgahan,” Sales said.
As of now, the barangay officials involved in the incident are facing charges for violation of City Ordinance No. 8624 or Anti-COVID-19 Discrimination Ordinance of 2020 under the Bayanihan Heal As One-Act.
