Here’s the reaction of Vice Ganda to DJ Loonyo’s viral statement
It’s Showtime host Vice Ganda shared his reaction to the viral statement of social media personality DJ Loonyo regarding the COVID-19 mass testing.
The dancer-choreographer received bashing due to his statement on mass testing during a live stream. He tagged the process as a “trial and error” and for netizens, he should have done his research first before airing his views on this matter.
Following the bashing that he received, DJ Loonyo apologized for the wrong term that he used. He also encouraged the netizens to watch the whole 2-hour video and not just the portion where he said that viral statement.
In line with this, Vice Ganda reacted. In the recent Twitter posts of the comedian-host, he said, “Not to bash DJ Loonyo. This is just to correct ung mga maling chika about Covid tests. I asked my sister for enlightenment. Read nyo para chugug!”
He shared the screenshots of his conversation with his older sister who is a nurse and a COVID-19 frontliner. Vice asked if a person needs to have an oral intake of medicine. The nurse explained what they are doing when testing a patient which can be done through two procedures – swabbing and prick on the finger for the rapid testing.
In his follow-up question, Vice asked the clarification on the PCR test and on swabbing and his sister apparently was not aware of why he was asking these questions.
The inquiry that Vice Ganda did to his sister did not end there. In his last question, the comedian-host asked if taking the COVID-19 test is safe. “Oh yes Toy, super safe magpa test wala naman side effect or whatever chuva,” the nurse said.
What can you say about this?
