Here Are Mark Bautista’s Paintings That Will Be Auctioned Off For COVID-19 Relief
MARK BAUTISTA – Filipino singer Mark Bautista decided to auction his paintings for COVID-19 relief.
Several Filipino celebrities have assisted in the COVID-19 relief efforts. Actresses Angel Locsin, Bela Padilla, and Bea Alonzo create a project to contribute to the government’s efforts to end the crisis in the country.
Until now, no one truly knows when the cases will stop. The ‘Darna’ actress started a new initiative called the ‘Shop & Share’ that aims to provide mass testing.
Based on a report from GMA News, singer Mark Bautista said he will be auctioning his artworks for COVID-19 relief efforts. During his interview on ‘Unang Hirit’, he revealed that he has been spending most of his time reconnecting with his old hobby.
The 36-year-old singer said he did not rekindle with his passion for art because of boredom. He said his eagerness to help amid the pandemic inspired him to paint.
According to the report, Mark Bautista said the proceeds of his auction will go to the coronavirus relief operation which aims to provide the needs of poor Filipinos. He also disclosed how he came up with his “Art for A Cause.”
“Nag-study ako ng architecture pero hindi ko natapos. So ito nga habang… ito ‘yung best time actually na gisingin ko ulit ‘yung hilig ko sa art. Parang ang hirap humanap ng inspiration. So ngayon, nagkaroon ulit ako. Mayroon akong mga dalawa, tatlo akong nagawa habang naka-lockdown.”
“Naisip ko na ‘yun na lang ‘yung gagawin kong pagtulong. ‘Yun ‘yung art for a cause na ginawa ko. Parang in-auction ko ‘yung paintings,” he added.
Mark also uploaded several photos of his painting on his Instagram account. In the caption, he mentioned Angel Locsin’s initiative saying “@shopandshareph has a lot of options if you wish to purchase other things to help their campaign.”
