PAGASA – Here are the latest updates from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) this May 29, 2020.

The early morning forecast from the state weather bureau says that the southwesterly windflow or SWWF will affect extreme northern Luzon, while the warm winds from the east or easterlies will affect Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao on this day.

According to GMA News, the SWWF will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Batanes and the Babuyan Group of Islands. The bureau warned of flash floods or landslides that might occur especially during severe thunderstorms.

On the other hand, the easterlies and localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country. The bureau also warned of flash floods or landslides that might occur in these areas especially during severe thunderstorms.

As per the report, for the wind speed forecast,

northern Luzon will have light to moderate that are moving in the south to southwest direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.

The rest of the country, on the other hand, will have light to moderate winds that are moving in the southeast to south direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.

The sun has risen at around 5:26 AM and is expected to set at around 6:21 PM.
