Gloria Diaz Goes Viral Over Harsh Words Against Pia Cayetano
GLORIA DIAZ – Netizens were left buzzing after Gloria Diaz reportedly criticized Senator Pia Cayetano in a viral comment that quickly spread across social media.
Former Miss Universe Gloria Diaz has gone viral on social media after allegedly leaving a strongly worded comment directed at Senator Pia Cayetano following the latter’s recent public remarks amid the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte.
The controversy gained traction after Gloria reportedly reacted to a post by Bilyonaryo News Channel featuring Sen. Pia’s statement. Although the comment could no longer be found when checked later, screenshots had already circulated widely across various social media platforms, prompting discussions among netizens.
The issue stemmed from Sen. Pia’s manifestation during the ongoing impeachment proceedings involving Vice President Sara Duterte. During her statement, the senator referred to the National Bureau of Investigation’s (NBI) probe involving her brother, Senate Minority Leader Alan Peter Cayetano.
The NBI investigation is connected to the Philippines’ hosting of the 2019 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games, where Sen. Alan served as the chairperson of the organizing committee.
According to the NBI, the agency has documents and information that served as the basis for conducting its investigation. It also emphasized that the inquiry is not intended to intimidate senators or influence the impeachment court. As of this writing, the investigation remains ongoing, and no final liability or charges have been formally established against anyone.
In her recent manifestation, Sen. Pia maintained that she and her colleagues are not easily shaken but said they know when certain actions or statements are directed at them.
“Hindi tayo sensitive, sanay tayo dito. Pero alam din natin kung pinapatamaan tayo ‘di ba, alam natin ‘yon. Di tayo tng,” said Sen. Pia, who is still artcarded in the said news outlet.
She also added, “I’m asking you, dear colleagues, ‘wag tayong papayag.”
Gloria did not let the senator’s remarks pass without comment and allegedly responded directly to the social media post with a blunt message.
“You are KSP! Your voice is irritating grabe dapat ikulong itong taong ito! Madrama! Ugh,” the former beauty queen said.
The exchange quickly became a trending topic online, with many social media users sharing screenshots of Gloria’s alleged comment and expressing varying opinions on the issue.
As of now, Sen. Pia Cayetano has yet to release any public statement regarding Gloria Diaz’s remarks or the viral social media reaction.
