Mak Tumang Replicates Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray Lava Gown For Madame Tussauds Wax Figure

CATRIONA GRAY – Mak Tumang replicated Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray’s Lava gown for Madame Tussauds wax figure.

The popular museum, Madame Tussauds, is known for creating realistic wax figures of famous people. The first branch of the museum is located in London.

They have also created wax figures of Filipino personalities like legendary boxer Manny Pacquiao, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, and Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray. The Filipina-Australian is the latest Pinoy to have her own Madame Tussauds wax figure.

Last January, Catriona Gray announced that her wax figure will be unveiled in the Philippines and will be touring Hong Kong, Thailand, and Singapore. She shared a picture of herself showing the eyeball of her statue on her Instagram account.

“I am so excited to see the final figure and be a part of this special event! To unveil the figure in my home country with my fans watching is another dream come true,” Catriona said.

On Monday, May 25, Filipino designer Mak Tumang took to his Instagram account to announced that he just finished replicating Catriona Gray’s “Lava gown.” In the caption, he said the carbon copy of the beauty queen’s iconic gown will be sent off to London.

In the caption of the post, he wrote: “SPOT THE DIFFERENCE exclusive replica for Madame Tussauds #offtolondon🇬🇧”

It can be recalled that the Pampanga-native designed Catriona Gray’s Lava-inspired gown during the Miss Universe 2018 coronation night in Bangkok, Thailand. In a previous article, Tumang was bashed for the gown he made for Senator Imee Marcos during the State of the Nation Address (SONA) 2019.
