New couple alert! Kapamilya actor Sam Milby and beauty queen and singer Catriona Gray are officially in a relationship. And the actor broke this news on his birthday on Saturday, May 23. He posted a sweet photo of theme together and captioned it, “Worth every second of the wait. Most special birthday yet.”
Here’s a timeline of their story:
Sam posted a photo of her wearing a crown after she was hailed as Miss Universe 2018. He thanked for raising the flag for the Filipinos. This is dated December 2018.
January 2019 when dating speculations sparked after they were spotted with Cat’s father. As they are both under Cornerstone handled by Erickson Raymundo, their handler clarified that it was accordingly just coincidence.
“It was a good coincidence since both personalities are good acquaintances and they happened to go to the same church and belong in the same bible study group,” he said.
Catriona, by next month, February 2019, confirmed that she and model Clint Bondad called it quits after six years. During her Miss Universe journey, their relationship was then already shaky.
And by December 2019, Cat clarified in an interview that she and Sam were just friends. They attend the same church and they are under the same management.
May 2020 then came and during his birthday, he was greeted by the crowned Miss Universe 2018 and he could only say this, “Basta I’m kilig sa message, super kilig sa message. Hindi ko in-expect talaga na mag-message. Thank you. Yes, you are very special. Very special.”
Right after this, he posted their photo confirming that she is his girlfriend.
