Condo Guard Possibly Got Stroke While Biking

CONDO GUARD – A security guard who bikes from home to work and vice versa was found lifeless on the road.

Currently community quarantines are up in the Philippines due to the coronavirus or COVID-19 crisis. It is global pandemic that has infected 13,434 people in the country.

Out of the total cases, 3,000 coronavirus patients have survived while 846 did not make it on the battle against the disease. To curb the spread of the disease, everyone is advised to stay at home if not for very essential purposes.

Metro Manila, Cebu City, and the province of Laguna are under the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) while the other areas in the country are under a General Community Quarantine (GCQ).

Now that community quarantines are implemented, commuting got some changes. The capacity of public vehicles were reduced to promote social distancing.

Also, people who can bike their way to their work utilize their bicycles to save time and as well as money. Also, many see it is safer to ride your own bicycle than go to terminals where the crowd cannot be avoided.

However, there are also risks in biking. Recently, a condo guard identified as Allan Artuz who bikes his way from home to work and vice versa was found lifeless on the road.

Based on a report on GMA News, he was from Quezon City and on his way home to Antipolo. The suspected cause of death of the guard is stroke. He is diabetic and hypertensive.

The condo guard who was found lifeless on the road was rushed to Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center in Marikina. Before he went home, he has called his wife, Irene Artuz, and told her that he will go home straight.

However, noon time came and he has yet to arrive home. Based on the report, Irene received a call from the barangay informing her about the death of her husband.
