Community Quarantine: People who can travel between GCQ, ECQ areas

Here are the persons who can travel between general and enhanced community quarantine areas.

COMMUNITY QUARANTINE – List of persons who are allowed to travel between areas classified under enhanced and general community quarantine.

Due to Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), enhanced community quarantine and general community quarantine are being enforced in areas in the Philippines. This is depending under the identification of high, moderate, and low risk of virus transmission.

And here’s the list of people who are allowed to travel in between areas under ECQ and GCQ:

  • Health workers
  • Officials and frontline personnel of the government
  • Traveling for medical or humanitarian reasons
  • Persons going to the airport for travel abroad
  • Workers of allowed businesses to operate again and those who are providing essential goods, services, and public utilities
  • Essential skeleton workforce
  • Repatriated OFWs and non-OFWs going back to their homes
  • Persons transported through efforts of the national government upon the conduct of the necessary quarantine protocols and in concurrence with the receiving local government units

According to GMA, here are the other travel guidelines amid the community quarantine:

  • non-essential entry is prohibited
  • all types of cargoes by land, air, or sea is allowed provided with only 5 personnel for operation
  • uniformed personnel and government officials and employees for official business with travel authority, transporting medical supplies, laboratory specimens related to COVID-19, other reliefs, and humanitarian assistance is allowed

Meanwhile, those workers from a GCQ area in need to cross an ECQ area for work must show their company ID or certification of employment.

Some businesses and establishments are allowed to partially open with limitations set and with social distancing to be strictly observed on areas under GCQ. For leisure and entertainment activities are still not allowed but work and religious gatherings are.
