3 Iloilo Residents Cross the Ocean Just to Buy Liquor in Negros Occidental

LIQUOR BAN – Three Iloilo residents crossed the ocean just to buy alcoholic beverages in Talisay City, Negros Occidental.

Over the past few months, different local government units are strictly implementing liquor ban as a part of the lockdown protocols. The measure aims to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus disease.

Anyone who will be caught violating the quarantine guidelines including the liquor ban would face corresponding sanctions and penalties.

The police officers of Talisay City, Negros Occidental confronted the three men who crossed from Iloilo heading to the city to buy alcoholic beverages.  The Talisay cops are strictly monitoring the coastal areas as a part of the general community quarantine.

According to the police, the three men visited Barangay Catabla in Talisay City to buy alcoholic beverages due to liquor ban in Iloilo. The cops have also decided not to file charges against the violators.

The police authorities also assisted the GCQ offenders in the coastal area to ensure that they would return to Iloilo.
