Motorists Flock in Cainta, Rizal As the Place Now Imposes General Community Quarantine

MOTORISTS FLOCK IN CAINTA, RIZAL – A photo showing several motorists on the road in Cainta amid the GCQ implementation over COVID-19 crossed the surface.

One of the over 200 countries and territories battling against the spread of coronavirus is the Philippines. According to the Department of Health (DOH), there is now a total of 12,513 cases of COVID-19 recorded on the country.

Out of the 12,513 cases, 824 patients died of coronavirus while 2,635 have recovered from the disease. Community quarantines are still implemented to curb the spread of the disease.

Previously, it was reported that the authorities assessed that the community quarantine in some areas can be lifted. They specified the places where a Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) or General Community Quarantine (GCQ) can be lifted.

Shortly after, the Palace released an announcement placing the entire Philippines under a General Community Quarantine (GCQ) except for some areas. Metro Manila, Laguna province, and Cebu City are among those that will be under a Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ).

In areas where the GCQ is implemented now, transportation is back under conditions to continue exhibiting social distancing. The capacity of the vehicles are reduced as well and everyone must still wear a mask.

Cainta, Rizal is one of the areas in the Philippines that is under a General Community Quarantine now. Under the GCQ implementation over COVID-19, motorists in Cainta, Rizal flock the road.

Based on a photo posted on the Facebook page Viral Videos credited to a certain Kenneth Ramil Yturralde, most of the vehicles on the road are single motorcycles with a few four-wheeled vehicles. The said photo garnered comments from the netizens on social media.
