Child Once Dependent on Oxygen Visits Grave of Late Ateneo Student-Athlete After Recovery
A child who had meningitis and previously relied on oxygen support is now reportedly able to walk again because of Rene Baterbonia.
Facebook user Mirayah, a relative of the family of the late Ateneo student-athlete Rene “Bobet” Baterbonia, shared the video of an alleged miraculous moment. According to her, the child had been seriously ill and spent much of the time lying down because of the condition.
Mirayah recalled visiting the child in the past and seeing how difficult the situation was for the family. At the time, the child reportedly needed oxygen support and was unable to move around normally.

Because of the illness, daily activities that many children take for granted had become a challenge.
Recently, the family experienced a joyful moment when the child was able to stand and walk again. After the improvement in the child’s condition, the family visited the grave of Baterbonia.
During the live broadcast, Mirayah shared how emotional she felt upon seeing the child walking. She remembered the days when the youngster would remain in bed and struggled with the effects of the illness.
Seeing the child move around and visit the grave was a moment she described as deeply meaningful.
The family reportedly believes that their prayers and faith played an important role throughout the child’s recovery. Their visit to Baterbonia’s resting place was a way of expressing gratitude and remembering someone they hold in high regard.
