Man in Aklan Offering P100M for Duterte’s Head on Social Media Arrested
MALAY, AKLAN – another man offers P100 million reward to those who can kill President Rodrigo Duterte got arrested by Malay police in manhunt operation.
A 40-year-old construction worker was arrested in Malay, Aklan on Tuesday after posting on his social media account that he will give reward to people have the courage end President Rodrigo Duterte’s life.
In a Facebook post of Malay PS Masaligan, the suspect was identified as Ronald Quiboyen. According to the Malay police report, they allegedly received information about the suspect’s post at 7 pm.
“yong 50 milyon nyo doblihin ko gawin kung 100milyon kung sino makapatay kay duterte andito ako ngayon sa boracay…” the suspect wrote in his social media account. As the residents of Boracay have posted and take a capture of his post police have immediately taken an action.
According to the report, the police have conducted a manhunt operation against Quiboyen. They were able to locate and arrest the suspect at 7 p.m. at Sitio Hagdan in Barangay Yapak.
Malay police chief Police Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Pablito, said authorities easily located the suspect because he had existing police record. According to him, the suspect has traffic violation recorded last February 26 and his address was included in the record.
He was turned over to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG)-Aklan and Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit for the appropriate filing of the case. Quiboyen will be facing charges for alleged violation of Art. 142 of the Revised Penal Code (Inciting to Sedition).
Previously, a teacher was arrested in Sta. Cruz, Zambales after posting on his Twitter account a threat to President Rodrigo Duterte’s life. Using a private Twitter account, the public school teacher posted that he was willing to give a P50-million reward to assassinate the President.
